I don't think that Halo Wars is going to 4 million. I think that it will do a Million and better. For the month of February, and being an RTS that would be very good. I'm not discounting anyone of the games set to drop next month. Most of you keep forgetting that Killzone 2 is following a flop called Killzone. So the game has to just be incredible. EGM since the first issue. Stopped somewhere in the late 90's. This was before it was in Ziff Davis hands or half the team that became editors and high staff. I'm talking when they were fans, and became writers. Truly a gaming icon. I grew up with the magazine. I still look through my old issues from time to time. I also have issues of Die Hard Game Fan, Gameplayers, Gamers Republic, Gamepro first issue. Man I wish the best for everyone there.
Of these articles are going to pop up? Sony as a company may be doing bad, but Sony is working on delivering a bit with the PS3. It's a hard position for them to be in last place sure, but given time the gaming division will be more robust with console sales. Competition is good, so hopefully everything works out...
Releases next month am I right? I think the game will sell very well, perhaps to a majority of PS3 gamers that have been waiting for it. Also it will bring in some new ways. I'm not sure how much it will do overall. I think a bundle for it would be a smart move. I don't plan on getting a PS3 anytime soon, but do plan on playing this game at my friends house. It looks really good so hopefully it will do well.
If you check the NPD data you will see that Microsoft saw in increase in console sales before the price cut. Yes the price cut did have a good affect on console sales it was supposed. In fact many threads on N4g at the time doubted the price cut would have an effect along with posters stating this as well.
Bottom line. For such a rough year for everyone Microsoft and the gaming industry did fairly well. Games selling in the millions is always good.

A good thing that Sony encourages a development environment like that where studios can share tech. You have Insomniac, GG, Naughty Dog. If they can continue that then there's no limit to how good the games can become on the PS3. Game play is always a separate issue, but that's a design thing...
